For solar businesses

Put your solar company on the city garbage truck

A printed panel in a frame on the side of the truck. Your name, your number and your license number, in seven words or fewer.

Why this works for a solar company

Your message changes by month

The printed panel swaps in under 30 seconds, so the message can change with the season. A new message still goes through design, review and printing first.

Made by the people who build the frame

We make the frames and print the panels ourselves. Roadway has built sign frames for refuse and recycling trucks since 1987.

Count your own calls

Add a tracking number to your panel and count your own calls. In each city we will sell one paid advertiser per truck.

One panel, three seasons

  1. February

    Meet your local solar team

  2. June

    Hot summer? Talk solar

  3. November

    Ask us about solar

Example messages. The printed panel swaps in under 30 seconds.

How you will know it worked

Put a unique tracking number on the panel, or a short web address that only appears on the truck. Then ask 'how did you hear about us' on every call. You count the calls yourself. We do not promise leads, calls or results.

What your panel must carry

Your California contractor license number, as Business and Professions Code 7030.5 requires. Contractors without a valid license cannot advertise on a truck.

Common questions

How long is the commitment?

Three-month minimum. Ask us about what happens after.

Can I pick a route?

Trucks are assigned by the city. Pick your city and we will show which areas its routes cover.

What has to be on a solar panel ad?

Your California contractor license number. Keep claims plain and true. We check each panel against the ad policy before it runs. Read the ad policy.

Step 1 of 2

What kind of business are you?

Cities have to approve ads on their trucks before we can sell any. No city is open yet.

We use what you send to answer your request and follow up. We don't sell it. See our notice at collection and privacy choices.
